9.15.2007 ( 8:51:00 AM ) kim this will prolly do nothing,'cept maybe destroy what little remains of 3(?) years of hard work. whatever. comment here forum 1.18.2007 ( 1:28:00 AM ) kim blogger sucks prolly cuz it's built and run by ignorant arrogant i'm here. for now. come on over,please, you can help me get it right. peace, wherever, whenever. comment here forum 1.09.2007 ( 8:01:00 PM ) kim las vegas  so, yes,i made the 2.5 mile drive, including the left turn at wetlands park lane. and i remembered the water bottle and the trail mix and the head covering/glare blocker. preferred hat, i think, would be a straw panama thingy. a light colored baseball cap would prolly do. no great hurry though. these fotos were made when today's temp was about 70f. little cooler tomorrow. and, per forecast, winter begins again late thursday, running at least til tuesday. yucko.  links for the park in previous post. note that the pretty facility pictures there are of the future, planned facility. eventually. meantime, work continues with much planting of trees, which sometimes leaves dirt or even mud on the paved trail. this polite young man  spends a great part of his daily workshift sweeping said trail. below, said trail. clean.  and so peaceful. so. just so. peace. comment here forum 1.03.2007 ( 11:52:00 AM ) kim i figured i'd figured out how to get there so i figured i'd give it a go. seemed it should be pretty easy. i missed my turn. pretty easy if you can drive and read street signs at the same time. but i could read this one, just a bit down the road.  i hope to do proper exploring in there soon. some little info here and wikipedia and some on the whole county parks system. really, there will be good fotos again. meanwhile, here's this.  have some joy with yer peace. i'll be back. comment here forum 1.02.2007 ( 1:06:00 PM ) kim there's good stuff too but i'm in mcdonald's. 2 hours of wi-fi for 3 bucks. i chose a spot far from everyone, me all alone in a corner and the place is nearly empty, lots of seating available all over the place. no need at all for those lip smackin' full mouth talkin', babe commenting goofs to walk all the way over here and plop down next to me. no reason. but they're leaving finally, and there's good stuff too. like, i'm not as sick and weak and sore as i've been for the last (10 days?). i got a steroid injection in the gluteal mass on saturday. also lidocaine patches. every day is a wee bit better. there's still more joint swelling than i'd ever experienced before. i think it's from the spinal probs as much as the ra, and prolly a delayed reaction from the 3 days in car getting here. oh, and i got one of those drug store back braces, helps a lot. there are some good fotos. a few. maybe. anyway. this is kinda what i see looking across to the next building in this 800 unit complex.  looking down...  there will be good fotos. soon. promise. really. for now, in brief, i love this place. admitted, i haven't been out much yet in my little time here, but this is looking so far like the cleanest, friendliest place i've lived since...well, ever, actually. we'll see how all that holds, more on it as opportunity prsents. for now, keep the peace. it's yours, ya know. comment here forum 12.18.2006 ( 8:49:00 PM ) kim i just wanna say this first it's friggin' cold here!  as some might say, i know this is an incredibly awful image, but maybe it gives some idea of the wind strength, which was a major factor in the day's frigidity. plus also we've learned that unfortunate things can result when you try to push a toy camera, or a sick old kimmi, too far. we'll prolly forget by morning, but for now we've learned.  again. bad. bad foto. go to your darkroom. um. oh. no, little cheap silk jacket, not adequate, 'specially since i stayed out way longer than intended and didn't get back til 5:30 an hour after setting of such sun as there was. coulda been worse. i saw lotsa shivering couples in shorts and t-shirts, bitterly complaining that they could be warmer back in oklahoma, or ohio, or... but i also heard from a native ("been here all my life". seems to be an important line here.) he said this was the coldest day he can remember here ever. i doubt the pleasant young has ever had a legal alcoholic beverage, and even in the limited years thus implied there were almost certainly colder days. but maybe he didn't go out on those days dressed like a tourist. anyway. it's way late, i'm still way tired even after a nap. and i gotta go ice my knees and ankles. peace be on each and every. comment here forum 12.14.2006 ( 3:46:00 PM ) kim for starters  more soon. peace. comment here forum 12.11.2006 ( 11:01:00 PM ) kim started late. no surprise. well, a day late. somewhat surprising. annoying for a bit. it's ok now though. 1am central time now. 500 miles and we're in avoca, iowa, about 30 miles or so east of omaha. earlier start tomorrow, loosely thinking we can do at least 1000. uh, maybe 800. anyway, vegas is prolly set for sometime wednesday not too late in the day. then? clueless. just steady prayin' and expecting the best. uh, today was grey, all the way from michigan. rain in illinois. lots of rain in iowa, and hail. not many foto ops. maybe 2moro. more later. soon as possible. peace. comment here forum |
